These delicious staples are a must at the iftaar table. Enjoy Hummus with pita bread or Fattoush on its own. Undoubtedly a delicious Middle Eastern treat at iftaar.
Ingredients Required
- Shan Ginger-Garlic Paste
1 tsp - Olive Oil
2 tbsp - Shan masala
1 tsp - Honey
1 tsp - Fried pita bread
5-6 pieces - Lettuce
leaves - Cilantro
2 tbsp - Cucumber
A Quarter Cup - Cherry Tomato
3-4 - Onion
A Quarter Cup - Bell Peppers
1 cup - Salt
As Per Taste - Garlic
2-3 cloves - Shans Chaat Masala
1 tsp - Extra Virgin Oil
1/4 cup - Sesame Seed
50 g - Boiled chickpeas
250 g - Lemon juice
1 tbsp - Cilantro
Quarter bunch
Cooking Method
- Make tahini sauce with roasted sesame seeds and oil.
- In to the blender, put boiled chana, garlic, tahini sauce, Shan's masala, oil, and grind to a thick paste.
- Pour cooled chickpea water if needed.
- Adjust the seasoning
- Cut Pita bread into small diamonds and apply olive oil.
- Bake it at 180 degree Celsius for 5 to 6 minutes or use a frying pan with minimum oil.
- Add lemon juice to olive oil.
- Add Shan Masala, honey, and Shan Garlic paste.
- Mix well.
- Add Green Capsicum, Red Capsicum, Yellow Capsicum, onions, cucumber, and tomatoes.
- Combine them with lettuce, and parsley.
- Add the veggies into the dressing and mix well.
- Check for seasoning and put the toasted pita bread.
- Plate the salad with hummus and garnish the dish accordingly.
- Serve and Enjoy!
